French composers of the late-19th and early 20th Centuries followed many divergent paths, from the high romanticism of Camille Saint-Saëns to the whimsical Francis Poulenc with a profound stop between those movements at an entirely French invention: impressionism. Featuring some of the finest wind and percussion players in the country—all Duluth natives or residents!—this concert will feature a mix of airy atmospherics and fiery pyrotechnics.
