ABOUT ABOUT

The Schubertiade was a concert that composer Franz Schubert and his friends would hold at each other's houses. They would feature chamber music and songs of Schubert and others as they tried out new music and exchanged ideas. Our Schubertiade will feature Schubert songs and one of his greatest chamber works: the B-flat Piano Trio. Brahms will also join the party with his Clarinet Trio. In keeping with the original idea from back in the early 1800s of showing off new music, short piano works of composer-in-residence and Minnesota native William Weigel will be performed. The concert will feature returning festival favorites Gustavo Jiménez, David Westfall, Brandt Fredriksen, and Theodore Schoen. We are also proud to introduce two new members of the Three Bridges family: Jessica Lee and Wilhelmina Smith. Join us for this intimate concert!
